3月のDiscoveryのお知らせ

早くも学年末の３月となりました。今月もDiscoveryを３月７日(月）と３月１５日(火）の２回行います。

今回は、第一回目、７日のご案内です。

雨についていろんな実験をしながら、学んでみましょう！

[Discovery Class受講について]

ディスカバリークラスは、ＮＩＳ生（３歳以上）だけではなく、お友達やご兄弟、全く初めての方でもご参加いただける単発のクラスです。参加をご希望の方は、１回または５回セットのチケットをご購入して頂きます。クラスに関する詳細、金額等はお問合せください。

Discovery Kids Club is for curious children who are interested in trying new things as they explore the world around them. Using cooking, arts and Science; students are given the opportunity to discover new things with friends. This class is available for both enrolled students and non-enrolled students ages 3 and up. Tickets are available at the office for 1 time and 5 times.

Lets Make Coasters!

We made coasters this month for Discovery!

We chose our favorite backgrounds for our coasters and got to work decorating and gluing.

We put alphabet stickers on to personalize our coasters with our names!

The kids really enjoyed themselves and each coaster showed everyone's great artistic sense!

February Discovery

As you probably know, many people celebrate Valentine's Day in February. So in the spirit of giving a gift of sweets to loved ones, we made Rice Krispy treats for the kids to take home. This was a great snack to make because the children were able to do everything by themselves with instructions and a little guidance.

They first measured the rice and marshmallows. Then over a hot plate on low heat, we stirred and melted the marshmallows with some butter.

Everyone got a turn.

We got to see the marshmallows melting!

All done! We'd better add the rice now.

Let's put it all in a baking pan.

Make it nice and flat.

After that we decorated! We put sprinkles inside cookie cutters to make a nice design.

When it was all done, we cut it all into bars to take home.

This was so easy and fun to make, I'm sure they would love to make it again for you at home!

Yummy Week

Playschool

We dipped different foods (bananas, strawberries, and marshmallows) into chocolate. And then we tasted it! It was delicious. Cooking is fun!

Playschoolではバナナやいちごをカットして、そのまま食べたり、チョコにつけて食べたり、

子どもたちはにこにこ笑顔でcookingを楽しんでいました。

We had our Kinder Marathon the first week of February.

We'd been practiced from last month, so everybody ran great!!

2月のDiscoveryのお知らせ　Part 2

今月23日(火）に行う　2回目のディスカバリーのご案内です。

自分の好きな模様やイラストをデコパージュでコースターにしちゃいましょう～♪
世界に一つのオリジナル・コースター、どんなのができるか楽しみですね！

デコパージュが乾くのに時間がかかるので、コースターは翌日にお渡しいたします。
たくさんのご参加をお待ちしています。

We are making a Decoupage coaster with your favorite pattern or illustration. It is going to be your original one in the world♪ Please note that it takes time to dry, so we will give a coaster to kids the next day.

Playschool Setsubun

February 3rd is the Japanese holiday of Setsubun. We throw beans at demons to keep bad luck away.

Uh-oh! Here comes the monster!

He's so scary! We don't want to get close!

Throw the beans!

ATTACK!!

It's running away!

Go outside! Only good luck can stay here!

A few kids cried because the monster was scary, but most of the kids really enjoyed throwing beans. Afterward we ate some beans (fresh ones, not the ones we had thrown, of course).

Here's hoping we have a good year!
