The Three Little Pigs

In Junior Kinder this week we've been learning the story of The Three Little Pigs, and today we played out the story in class!

This little pig is in her wooden house.

This little pig is in his brick house.

Oh no! The wolf is trying to blow down the brick house with the pigs inside!

Discovery for November

In October our theme was about the forest. To explore this theme, we learned about some foods that come from the forest, and we learned that blueberries come from the forest! So we cooked our own blueberry cookies!

First, we each spooned in some flour.

Then the sugar.

Then, we added a little milk and mixed!

We put some batter on everyone's plates and.....

...we put our own blueberries on our cookies! We might have eaten a few too.

The cookies were microwaved while we cleaned up.

Some special helpers served cookies to the class.

Yum!

Walking Practice

Halloween Discovery classes

We devoted both of our October Discovery lessons to Halloween preparations!

We started with making lanterns which could make spooky shadows of ghosts and witches on room walls.

Some of us made cute lanterns with hearts and cats.

For our next Discovery lesson we made SPOOKY Snacks: spider sandwiches and cheese broomsticks! They were so tasty that we ate half of the food right there!
